NACCE2013 Student Competition Consent and Release

Thank for your interest in participating in the upcoming NACCE 2013 Annual Conference! As part of our continuing efforts to educate persons interested in community college entrepreneurship, NACCE may record conference sessions. DVDs or downloads of these sessions may be made available after the conference and are protected by copyright from any unauthorized use and/or duplication.

Your signature grants NACCE the non-exclusive right to audio/video record your presentation and use and/or sell the recording in any manner on a royalty-free basis following the presentation. Signing this release does not prohibit you from using your material in any way you choose at any future time.

For good and valuable consideration which includes but is not limited to, the receipt and sufficiency of which are hereby acknowledged, the undersigned author/content leader/program presenter, (the "undersigned”), hereby grants to the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship ("NACCE”), including all legal representatives, subsidiaries, assigns, affiliates thereof, and those acting with NACCE’s authority and permission (hereinafter referred to singularly and collectively as the "Association”), an absolute non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license and release to copyright, in the Association’s name or otherwise, and use, reuse, license others to use, publish and republish my name, biographic information, photographic portraits, pictures, video and/or sound records of my likeness and voice, including those in which I may be included, in whole or in part, in composite or distorted character or form, without restriction as to changes and alterations, in conjunction with my own or a fictitious name, or reproductions thereof in color or otherwise, made in and for the program authored by the undersigned and presented at the Association’s Annual Conference held during the dates October 13-16, 2013 at the Hilton Charlotte University Place 8629 JM Keynes Drive Charlotte, NC 28262 , and in any and all media now or hereafter known for illustration, promotion, art, advertising, trade or any other purpose whatsoever (hereinafter referred to singularly and collectively as the "work”). The undersigned also consents to the use of any printed matter in conjunction therewith. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the undersigned further grants to the Association and its designees the rights to edit, film, record, publish, reproduce, reprint, distribute, sell, and otherwise make use of the work, and authorizes the Association and its designees to use the undersigned’s name, likeness, photograph, and biographical data in connection with their use and promotion of the work. The undersigned represents and warrants to the Association that the work is the undersigned’s own original work; that the undersigned is the sole owner of the work and all of the rights herein granted; that the undersigned has the full right and power to make this release and license; that the work does not violate any copyright, proprietary, intellectual property or personal rights of others. The undersigned agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Association and its officers, directors, members, employees, and agents, and volunteers from and against any and all claims, actions, losses, demands, costs, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, and all other expenses relating or incidental to, or arising directly or indirectly from, the inaccuracy or breach of any of the aforementioned warranties and representations. The undersigned further releases, discharges and agrees to save harmless, the Association and its officers, directors, members, employees, and agents, and volunteers, from any liability by virtue of any blurring, distortion, optical illusion or use in composite form, whether intentional or otherwise, that may occur in the taking of photographic portraits, pictures or videos, or in any subsequent processing thereof, as well as any publication thereof, including, without limitation, any claims for libel or invasion of privacy.

I hereby warrant that I am of full age and have the right to contract in my own name. I have read the contents of this Consent and Release prior to its execution, and I am fully familiar with its contents. This Consent and Release shall be binding upon me, my heirs, legal representatives and assigns.
