Take a tour of one of the finest urban community college campuses in the United States, Kennedy-King College on Wednesday, October 14th.  Located at 63rd and Halsted, Kennedy-King College has always been the heart of the Englewood community in Chicago.

The 40-acre campus consists of six buildings with a combined 500,000 square feet of floor space.  In addition to classrooms, the campus includes 2 gymnasiums, a day care center, theatre, swimming pool and radio-television production studios for WYCC-FM and WYCC-TV20.   The library is home to over 50,000 books and microfilms.  The Culinary Building has four kitchens, a teaching restaurant and a 450-seat dining hall.  The Applied Sciences building contains a book store, auto technology lab and shops for auto body work, welding, printing, and heating and air conditioning. Like all new buildings of the City and its sister agencies, it was built to high environmental standards and has a green roof.
