I was fortunate to have the opportunity to represent Gateway Community and Technical College at the 7th Annual Conference and to present an elevator pitch to support our entrepreneurial learning college initiative. This award fits right in with the vision of the college to be nationally recognized as a premier comprehensive community and technical college that meets the dynamic learning needs of the global community.
The major activities of our Elevator Grant are designed to provide more direct student exposure to local entrepreneurs through the development of an entrepreneur mentoring project, training and workshops, and the start-up of a CEO chapter. This work will allow Gateway to continue building an entrepreneurial learning mindset infused throughout the college.
We have identified the faculty advisor for CEO, and have reached out to the community to recruit dynamic entrepreneurs to serve as mentors for our students. Stay tuned for more details about how things are going at Gateway!
