We continued to meet with existing and new clients.  One student wants advice on how to expand her cleaning business.  Another requested assistance with a marketing plan for a Large Size clothing store. 

We also followed-up  on GEW events.   Dr. Sushil Bhatia from Suffolk University has agreed to come to campus in the spring to talk about how to incorporate sustainability into the business curriculum.  We’ve had discussions with Boloco about hosting iron chef type competition in BHCC kitchens -- follow up in new year.   Discussions  have started on campus about looking into feasibility of having zipcar on campus.  BHCC’s creative services is mentoring Young Entrepreneurs Alliance students from Assabet Valley High School in the design of thank-you notes for the CCE. 

The CCE’s internal advisory meet to review the last 6 months of CCE activity and the CCE business plan.  We have consistently met our goals and have a clear goal for next year.

The Intern from Simmons College has completed a proposal for a 3-week pathways to college summer camp program for high school students.  She has also has also proposed a 6-week, 36 hour intro to entrepreneurship non-credit course that would offer students a sampling of entrepreneurship topics like financing, law, accounting/tax, business plan writing, marketing, etc.

We continued to work with the MA State Office of Small Business and Entrepreneurship to schedule a restaurateur entrepreneur to speak.  Working to confirm date of Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 2pm for Darryl Settles, restaurateur entrepreneur, owner of the Beehive in Boston to speak at BHCC.

2 BHCC students are working on the  development of a Facebook page for CCE.  Fanpage has been developed and photos and video clips from GEW are being posted.  One of the BHCC students will work as an intern starting in January 2010 to update and monitor the CCE Facebook page.  Working with BHCC audio visual department to train student intern on video editing software to edit video clips for CCE Facebook page.  We have also hired a  BHCC database student to develop a Microsoft Access database for the CCE client information.  He will build an access database and move all excel files to Access. 

It’s been a very exciting and productive year and we thank the Hughes and Coleman Foundations for supporting our entrepreneurship initiative.  The final report for the Hughes Grant will follow shortly.
