The Center is co-sponsoring with the State
Office of Small Business and Entrepreneurship an event featuring entrepreneur
Darryl Settles. March 4. NFTE teachers and BHCC students, faculty
and staff will be attending.
We are collaborating on another Young
Entrepreneurs Alliance event: this time the event will take place at Madison
Park High School, and our students, faculty and staff will be attending.
The event is a team-building event for the new graphic design business that is
being established at the school. BHCC students will play an integral part
in the ‘bonding’exercises.
Degree option in Craft Entrepreneurship is ready
to go: it was designed specifically for graduates from the North Bennet Street
School. We will be holding our first information session at the
School in April.
We have hired BHCC students to develop the
Center’s Facebook and database. We are now building a LinkedIn page.
Publicity for our summer entrepreneurship
program for high school students has gone out to all the Boston public schools
and to schools in the Greater Boston area. On March 5th we
have a meeting for area high school counselors at which we will also distribute
The Coordinator of our Center, Erin DeCurtis,
has created a ‘Business Concept Development Workbook’ which we’re distributing
to all our clients and high school partners.
