On behalf of Metro Community College, I"d like to extend my gratitude to the Coleman Foundation for launching a campus-wide entrepreneurial mindset to reach out and not only work with these new Faculty Champions of Entrepreneurship graduates - but due to the matching grant challenge introducing out senior leadership team and our development office to this new program's potential and personnel.
I'm pleased to report that MCC has provided funding to support this program to re-run a second year. I've decided to decrease the amount of new champion instructors down to 10 (roughly half) to enable more one-on-one development. But, also because the school has dedicated funding and adopted "Entrepreneurship" as its themed topic for this year's professional development area for all faculty generally. Therefore, we will be hosting 4 workshops throughout the year with funding to bring in real speakers (yeah - did I say REAL speakers....knowledge experts in this field!) to teach and invigorate us on areas of innovation/sustainability, building an entrepreneuerial eco-system, etc.... So we will actually have general workshops going along with this focused program.
I therefore encourage all readers to not only consider adopting a program of this similar theme at their school; but to obviously take advantage of the Coleman grant funding available at the NACCE conferences. It has made a signficant difference in our little program in a BIG way!
As an individual VERY NEW to this world of grants.....writing them....managing them....reporting for them.....I've attached with permission from MCC's development and innovation office our final grant summary report as submitted to the Coleman Foundation detailing this program, the budget with attachments (all of which are also attached to this blog......actually, this entire blog has MORE attachments than the report does for sake of reporting consideration). I hope that it greatly helps YOU to launch a similar type program and/or go after your next grant.

Again, Thank You to the Coleman Foundation!
