What if we gave you a chance to practice and refine your pitch so that
you had a better chance of getting funding for your program?
You are invited to participate in a webinar on Wednesday, May 9th. It's an "ELEVATOR PITCH PRACTICE WEBINAR," designed to sharpen your skill at pitching your program.
We
are months away from awarding grants, and though this is not the
official application for our annual grant process, you'll get our
insights and thoughts from other members on the persuasiveness and
soundness for a good pitch.
At each NACCE annual conference, in partnership with the Coleman Foundation, we ask our members: "What Would You Do With A Grant For Your Program?"
We've
learned over the years that this idea excites many of our members, but
the quality of presentations vary. Now, you can get tips on how to give a winning pitch when it's time to apply for elevator grants this year.
Here's how it works:
- Three schools (CT Community Colleges of Technology, West Shore Community College and Hawaii Community College), who have volunteered to give their practice pitches for their entrepreneurship programs, will deliver these LIVE to our members during the webinar.
- NACCE members will follow along, rate the pitches, and decide which school made the better pitch.
The schools presenting will pitch their entrepreneurship program idea to the group via telephone and guide
participants through slides that can be accessed online. The winner will receive a small gift from NACCE.
Keep
in mind, this is only a practice run. We'd like to help you become
better at pitching your program while engaging our members in the
process.
Even if you do not participate in this practice
round, you can (and should) apply for the Coleman Foundation grants later this year. Take advantage
of the tips and feedback given in the webinar and use them as your guide when you create YOUR pitch.
