Earn 18 college credits and a Certificate in Entrepreneurship in a 24-week program that combines classroom instruction with online instruction.
Culinary Arts Entrepreneurship Certificate new this year. This certificate is designed to prepare students to launch and operate their own culinary venture or take a leadership role in an existing restaurant or food-related business. Topics include: • developing a business plan • obtaining resources • strategic planning • managing finances • successfully dealing with managerial challenges and food preparation • provides essential skills and content in culinary or pastry operations • food management functions
Introduction to Social Entrepreneurship and Non- Profit Management, a new course that will benefit people in various roles such as Non-Profit and Social Enterprise managers and leaders. The learning objectives and activities have been designed to benefit both the seasoned non-profit leader as well as the aspiring social entrepreneur. Topics include: • establishing an organization’s vision and direction; • organizing and leading paid and volunteer staff; • business, marketing, and operational planning; • fund raising and accounting methods; • mission accomplishment assessment; • legal structures; and • the very important topic - working with a Board of Directors.
