Silicon Couloir and Central Wyoming College present the 4th session of the Start Up Institute - an intensive program aimed at jumpstarting aspiring entrepreneurs and encouraging Wyoming’s economic growth and diversification.
JACKSON, Wyoming (January 6, 2015) – Silicon Couloir and Central Wyoming College have partnered to bring the fourth session of the Start Up Institute to Jackson, WY in the spring of 2015. The Start Up Institute is an intensive entrepreneurship program designed to provide participants with proven tools, frameworks and skills that winning companies utilize to launch successful business ideas. It’s a hands-on, experiential and practical course focused on helping individuals work on improving their existing businesses or launch their business ideas.
This program provides a unique opportunity for anyone starting a new business venture or building on an existing business to create a lasting foundation for success. The fall program participants include a PBS food show, a baby product designer, a high end chocolate company, a wellness consultant, a vodka distillery, a doughnut shop and more. Silicon Couloir co-founder and Start Up Institute Program Director Liza Millet states, “It’s like a condensed MBA program, entirely focused on your business idea. Going into our 4th program, we couldn’t be more excited to help as many entrepreneurs as we can take their ideas to the next level.” Says a recent graduate, “I couldn’t have foreseen how much I got out of this class!”
From April 7, 2015 through June 11, 2105, 12-15 participants will dedicate three full days per week to class time in addition to working through the ideas after class hours. The class will end with participants presenting their business to a panel of experienced advisors. Once the class time program has concluded, participants will be given ten hours of follow up consulting time with a panel of experts to use as they move forward.
Sandy Schultz Hessler, who teaches the program, brings a wealth of business and teaching experience to the front of the classroom. She has taught at Harvard, Tufts University and U. Miami Ohio and has been a successful entrepreneur and marketing professional.
Enrollment is limited. Applications are welcome and encouraged from any location. Financial assistance may be available to those who qualify. 20 college credits are available from CWC. Go to www.siliconcouloir.com/startup for more details and to apply. Applications are due February 1 and will be considered on a rolling basis if the class does not fill at that time.
