Mason City, IA – Dec. 19, 2008 – Back by popular demand, Brian Henderson, a top local executive with The Henderson Business Group, will return to the NIACC campus on Thursday morning, January 15, 2009, to present an intensive four-hour seminar on the art and science of buying and selling a business.

A successful business transaction, whether you are buying or selling a business, begins with a thorough overview.  Henderson’s seminar will provide tools to help you conduct a detailed review for any business transaction. These tools will help you determine the difference between a business evaluation and a valuation, how to establish a sale price, how to compare cash flow versus assets, complete a due diligence search, and what resources are available for you, such as SBDC, consultants, SBA and SCORE.

Henderson has been making the connection and closing the deal on business transactions throughout the Midwest since 2002. The Henderson Business Group focuses on end-game thinking and close a majority of the deals they facilitate. If you are thinking of buying a new business or selling an existing one, you should invest four hours of time that will help you make the best possible business deal.

To register for the seminar, call 1-888 GO NIACC, extension 4358 or 641-422-4358 and sign up for course #63064. The fee is $100 per person to attend the seminar.

The John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center is located on the North Iowa Area Community College campus in Mason City, Iowa and provides college level courses and degree programs in entrepreneurship, as well as consulting services for business start-ups and existing industries in the North Iowa region. The Center also provides Fast Trac® training programs both for start-up companies and established companies.  Space is available in the new North Iowa Business Incubator for start-up businesses.  For more information, contact the NIACC JPEC at 641-422-4111.
