WASHTENAW COUNTY - Washtenaw Community College's Entrepreneurship Center is welcoming residents to come see what local entrepreneurs have to offer.
Entrepreneurs will be showcasing their products and services during the center's market day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 2, according to a newsletter.
If the weather is sunny as predicted, the market will be held outdoors on the lawn in front of the Plant Operations Building, located on the western side of WCC's campus, 4800 E. Huron River Drive in Ann Arbor Township. If there is rain, it will be held inside the center in the Plant Operations Building.
"Come ready to browse, provide valuable feedback to the vendors, and maybe purchase a thing or two," the center said in an email.
The market day is the first of what is planned to be an annual event.
The Entrepreneurship Center is a free co-working space designed for the needs of entrepreneurs, according to WCC, with both computers and a meeting area available.
Both community members and WCC students are welcome to work on their business ideas and also collaborate with clients and other entrepreneurs. The center offers other free resources, such as workshops and start-up coaching.
As of Monday, June 1, the center has expanded the hours it is open. The center is now open from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and noon to 4:30 p.m. Fridays.
