Empowering Entrepreneurship Conference - June 11-13, 2009/ Colorado Mountain College Timberlin
The conference will celebrate real life entrepreneurs and offer sessions on how to incorporate lessons from the real world into 21st century entrepreneurial education and training. Other sessions will highlight state of the art approaches to entrepreneurship as community and economic development. These topics include business incubation, economic gardening, microlending, global businesses, and social and sustainable businesses.
The conference is open to all who are involved in entrepreneurship education and implementation: K-16 educators and administrators, students, economic and business development organizations, governmental agencies and practicing entrepreneurs. Participants can receive one (1) CEU for attending the conference.
The conference will begin the afternoon of June 11 with a reception at the National Mining Hall of Fame and Museum, followed by a full day of educational sessions on June 12, and concluding with Gregg Vanourek speaking on "Leading and Living with an Entrepreneurial Mindset” on June 13. The conference fee is $85 which includes all sessions, the opening reception, two continental breakfasts and one lunch.
