Accelper Consulting and NACCE Introduce
NACCE Innovation Award

Springfield, MA – June 23, 2009 – Accelper Consulting, a management consulting firm headquartered in Schaumburg, IL, that helps organizations improve business performance, has become a Platinum sponsor of the 7th Annual National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship Conference.

Together, NACCE and Accelper Consulting have launched the NACCE Innovation Award to recognize entrepreneurship centers and their positive impact on the communities they serve. The award will be presented at NACCE’s Seventh Annual Conference, to be held in Chicago, IL, October 11-14, 2009. Each  center will receive a plaque recognizing successful deployment of innovation and entrepreneurship practices, and creation of new jobs. All participating colleges will be recognized for their commitment to creating jobs in their communities.

In addition, through a new curriculum that Accelper Consulting has developed in conjunction with the Illinois Institute of Technology, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will receive complimentary Master Business Innovator Certification Train-the-trainer sessions to teach Business Innovation to their students and accelerate innovation in their communities. This program is valued at $4,000. For more information on the award, visit http://www.nacce.com.

“Our new relationship with Accelper Consulting and the NACCE Innovation Award are very exciting developments for NACCE,” says NACCE Executive Director Heather Van Sickle. “Praveen Gupta, who heads Accelper Consulting, is an internationally recognized innovation thought leader. Giving our members a chance to vie for an award that comes with the opportunity to participate in the rigorous innovation training curriculum he has developed is very exciting.”

“We cannot depend on large corporations to create jobs in large numbers; instead empowering people at all levels improves the odds of accelerating job creation,” says Gupta, who formerly worked at Motorola and AT&T Bell Laboratories, and has consulted to many other companies around the world on their innovation and performance excellence issues. “NACCE is connected to people through Community College Entrepreneurship Centers. Partnering with NACCE is the best way to empower people through education in innovation throughout America.”
