Mason City, IA – July 29, 2009 - The North Iowa Area Community College John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center introduces FastTrac® LaunchPad™, an introductory free two-hour session for those who are interested in the FastTrac® program but need more information. This new session will explore the challenges of starting a new business and what to expect from FastTrac® NewVenture™. There will be two sessions in Charles City on August 6, one session at 2 p.m. and another session at 6 p.m. They will be held in room 110 at the Charles City NIACC Center. NIACC will hold the two sessions on September 22 in the NIACC JPEC room 117 at 2 pm and 6 pm.
FastTrac® NewVenture™, a ten-week “business boot camp” designed to help new businesspeople develop their business concept and business plan. As part of the curriculum, FastTrac® NewVenture™ graduates go through all the steps of developing a business plan, including feasibility, marketing, insurance and financing.
The next FastTrac® NewVenture™ classes will take place in St. Ansgar and Charles City starting August 17, 2009. The Mason City area classes will be held at NIACC starting October 1. The John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center is located on the North Iowa Area Community College campus in Mason City and provides college level courses and degree programs in entrepreneurship, as well as comprehensive consulting services for business start-ups, existing industries and owner transitions in the North Iowa region.
