LYRIA— Senate candidate Rob Portman, a Republican, said the Great Lakes Innovation and Development Enterprise, or GLIDE, is a model of workforce development programs across the state.

Portman, looking to fill the shoes of current Sen. George Voinovich, is on a statewide tour promoting jobs and the economy this week and stopped at Lorain County Community College yesterday to tour GLIDE’s facilities and hear what the program has offered the community.
