Independence Community College's Successful Entrepreneur Program and the Independence Business Resource Center will co-sponsor the first SEK Business Innovation Summit on September 22nd and 23rd. The summit will showcase Southeast Kansas as a center for key industry clusters and innovation capacity. The summit is being hosted by Independence Community College at ICC West Campus.
The event is a springboard for Southeast Kansas to be a part of moving our region forward economically, socially and culturally. According to Jim Correll, Successful Entrepreneur Program facilitator and business coach, "We hope this inaugural event will act as a platform from which we can reach out as the advocates for innovation in this region. There have been many great innovations in Southeast Kansas, not only among the business community but by community and government groups as well.”
