Tim Mittan, director of Southeast Community College’s Entrepreneurship Center, received an award from the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship during its eighth annual conference last month in Orlando.Mittan won in the Supporting Existing Entrepreneurs category, in large part due to the work he does in the business incubator at SCC and his external coaching."My involvement with incubator tenants through ongoing meetings with them and preparing them to go out into the real world was a big factor,” Mittan said. "Also, the continuous help I provide students once they leave the program, and the coaching I provide them, played a role.”
