New Erie County incubator hopes to create jobs

Community leaders are hoping Erie County's new business incubator will help startups and existing companies hatch some new jobs.The Erie County Economic Development Corporation announced Tuesday it has opened the new incubator, called RISE, which stands for Regional Incubator for Sustainability and Entrepreneurship.On the first Tuesday of each month, local businesses in need of help — including startups, small businesses looking to expand and larger companies facing challenges — will meet at the BGSU Firelands campus with representatives from Great Lakes Innovation and Development Enterprise, a business incubator located at Lorain County Community College.
