Today
the Kauffman Foundation announced their support for the Ice House Entrepreneurship
Program - an interactive online entrepreneurship learning curriculum that
now enables students to learn directly from the first-hand experience of
successful real-world entrepreneurs. In addition to the course, they have
launched a teacher training component to the program we felt you should know
about, a program that is already filling up!
The
Ice House Entrepreneurship Program is a revolutionary new interactive online
learning program designed to inspire and engage participants in the fundamental
concepts of an entrepreneurial mindset and the unlimited opportunities it can
provide.
During
the teacher training component of the program you will learn how
entrepreneurship is redefining education in classrooms and communities across
America. You will also learn how to implement this powerful new program in your
community.
The
Kauffman Foundation is supporting the Ice House Entrepreneurship Program
because it is a timely reminder of the ability of entrepreneurship to empower
ordinary people to accomplish extraordinary things, while reminding us that
building new companies and creating new jobs will lead to a brighter future and
a stronger nation. A link to the Kauffman press release is here. Also, here is
a link to a brief promotional video that
helps explain the course.
The Ice House Entrepreneurship Program already has garnered the attention of
educators, community development groups and other organizations across the
United States and throughout the world. The program is selling out quickly
of the available slots for this program with many of those registering coming
from 4-year institutions. We would obviously prefer more community college
representation and are hopeful you can take advantage of this fantastic
program.
