THE MICHELSON 20MM FOUNDATION AND NACCE WELCOME FIVE COLLEGES TO THE MICHELSON IP EDUCATOR IN RESIDENCE INITIATIVE

Raleigh, NC  |  The National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE) in partnership with the Michelson Institute for Intellectual Property (Michelson IP), an initiative of the Michelson 20MM Foundation (20MM), is pleased to announce the acceptance of five institutions into our newly launched IP Educator in Residence Initiative. Selected educators will support advancing IP literacy efforts across the NACCE ecosystem.

“NACCE has greatly enjoyed working alongside the Michelson Institute for Intellectual Property to continue to close the IP education gap. We look forward to seeing this community of practice grow among community colleges across North America,” said Rebecca Corbin, NACCE president & CEO.

Since 2017, Michelson IP has worked alongside NACCE to provide a first-of-its-kind IP curriculum to member colleges. Our pilot phase included a dynamic community of practice that spearheaded the modular buildout of an undergraduate IP curriculum and eventually led to its adoption at more than 70 NACCE colleges! By 2022, we anticipate that an additional 100 NACCE colleges will have adopted Michelson IP curriculum and resources into their college curriculum reaching nearly 20,000 students.

“To welcome and support close to 100 NACCE member colleges across the nation is exemplary of what we can achieve together,” says Dr. Gary K. Michelson, founder of the Michelson 20MM Foundation and Michelson IP. “Our shared  goal  of making IP education more accessible and closing the IP knowledge gap unites us and we are confident that this IP Educators in Residence initiative will further shape an impactful community of practice and seed new opportunities for vibrant, local entrepreneurship education.”

Please join us in welcoming the following colleges to the Michelson IP Educator in Residence Initiative:

  • Pamela Bogdan – Ocean County College (NJ)
  • Gary Cors, J.D. – Pasco-Hernando State College (FL)
  • Gary Graves – Fullerton College (CA)
