Make an Impact:
A White Paper from the National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship

When students enroll in community colleges they are more often than not eager to make immediate change in their lives. Community colleges tend to attract pragmatic students eager to put the lessons learned at our unique institutions to work right away to create more income and better lives for themselves and their families. One way that community colleges help students do this is by making available entrepreneurship programs that assist in both new business development (start-ups) and the growth of existing businesses. We have seen the power of these programs in terms of lifting communities and advancing our students. That’s why we increasingly ask our membership and schools yet to launch entrepreneurship programs: "Are you making an impact?”
