My past experiences in the professional arena include restaurant development/operations, national sales management, entrepreneur/owner, and Co-founder of Weathered Hands & Hearts. As a consultant I have worked with healthcare professionals, municipalities, NGOs and for-profit business development.
My education and certifications include a BS in Business/Project Management and a MBA from George Fox University with a emphasis in Marketing, Prosci (Change Management), Six Sigma and Lean (Quality Management), ISO 900, Baldridge Assessor, and Career Coach.
The committees I currently invest my time with include Faculty Diversity Internship Program, Community Outreach Advisory Council, Fuller Center, Self-Enhancement Inc., Meals on Wheels, Unit Change Team for Critical Race Theory and JEDI. I am the business department chair at Portland Community College’s Cascade campus, and own/operate a consulting firm called Paradigm Swift.
Community and global outreach include build trips to Armenia (2019) , Puerto Rico (2018) for disaster relief, Peru (2016) , Haiti (2013) as a business development adviser and to China with an academic delegation. I sat on the board for School House Supplies for four years. I am currently a global build facilitator and coach
On a personal note, I was born in Portland. I have traveled all over the world for work/pleasure but still find the great Northwest a wonderful place to live. I embrace the luxury of having so many metropolitan and natural options within hours of my doorstep. I enjoy DIY projects, traveling, and maintaining a balanced life. To keep my health in balance was I built a full-service gym in my garage with my son during the pandemic. I also meditate three times a week. We recently adopted an Alaskan Shepard who keeps our lives busy. I am very blessed to have an amazing wife and son who accept my crazy schedule.
