Webinar Title: Community College Innovation in the Age of AI

Webinar Overview: How can community colleges harness the power of artificial intelligence to innovate, expand opportunities, and strengthen human connections that are at the heart of education? Join NACCE for a forward-thinking conversation on AI’s transformative role across campuses, classrooms, and communities, with an eye toward global trends shaping the future of learning and work.

This dynamic session features Dr. Rebecca A. Corbin, President & CEO of NACCE, who integrates AI daily into her leadership to accelerate creativity, generate new revenue pathways, and deepen authentic relationships with members, partners, and teams. From content development to strategic planning, Dr. Corbin will share how AI is becoming an essential leadership tool and how community college innovators can use it to amplify impact.

She will be joined by Dr. Angela Long, Chief Engagement Officer for Tallahassee State College and a nationally recognized researcher, speaker, and thought leader on the future of learning and work. Earlier this year, Drs. Corbin and Long presented at the AI for Good Global Summit, where they contributed to international dialogue on AI ethics, human-centered innovation, and the skills learners will need in an AI-driven world. Drawing on insights from global experts and policymakers, they will explore how community colleges can position students for success in a rapidly shifting economic and technological landscape.

Drs. Corbin and Long—co-authors of Community Colleges as Incubators of Innovation (2019) will revisit the themes of their book through a modern AI lens, discussing how institutions can evolve as engines of creativity, mobility, and opportunity in a world where both work and learning are being redefined.

Adding a cutting-edge industry perspective, Charlie Davis, Chief Visionary Officer of CrazyThink and a key partner supporting NACCE’s SkillPointe technology platform, will offer an inside look at how AI-powered chatbots are designed and deployed. He will highlight current capabilities as well as emerging opportunities for colleges to use AI to expand learner support, streamline processes, and strengthen institutional capacity.
