Title: Insight and Applications for your College from the Authors of NACCE’s New Book: Community Colleges as Incubators of Innovation - Unleashing Entrepreneurial Opportunities for Communities and Students

Description: This book, newly published by NACCE, addresses the urgent need for community colleges to prioritize entrepreneurship education, both to remain relevant in a changing economy, and to graduate students with the flexible and interdisciplinary mindsets needed for the future of society. It argues that entrepreneurial education should be offered broadly to a wide range of students and across all disciplines; defines the key constructs for achieving this objective; and describes how to create entrepreneurial learning environments. During this three-hour preconference, chapter authors will speak about and give practical tips on the following:

  • leading a college or division with an entrepreneurial mindset
  • infusing entrepreneurship across all academic disciplines to increase student success
  • creating winning partnerships with industry, government, philanthropy and others in your ecosystem
  • innovating in urban and rural environments
  • and more!

Each participant will receive a copy of the book and will learn more about curriculum and leadership strategies that you can employ at your college to ensure that your organization becomes or grows as an incubator of innovation.
