NACCE Partners with Skillsline to Help Students Become Career Ready

NACCE Press Releases,

The National Association for Community College Entrepreneurship (NACCE) has launched a partnership with Skillsline. Skillsline is modernizing essential “soft” skill delivery with an engaging mobile-first learning platform that teaches students the “career-ready essential skills” they need for career, academic, and life success.

“After working for decades in the areas of career development, student success, and work performance, I recognized the Skillsline technology presented an opportunity to break down essential career and life skills into small, digestible insights for learners to understand and apply in a practical way,” said Dr. Donna Dunning, Skillsline’s primary author and content expert.

Skillsline will benefit NACCE members with an exclusive offering designed to catalyze and support action towards implementation of the NACCE Presidents for Entrepreneurship Pledge, ultimately preparing more workforce ready graduates.

“Skillsline is aligned with NACCE’s mission to help students embrace lifelong learning and an entrepreneurial mindset,” said Rebecca Corbin, Ed.D, CEO and President of NACCE. “In just ten minutes a day, the highly engaging Skillsline platform teaches students the career-ready essential skills they need for workforce success.”

Grounded in research, Skillsline aligns its microlessons with the five core competencies of self-agency, collaboration, higher order thinking, intentionality, and results orientation. These competencies are necessary for every student to succeed regardless of career path, are in high demand by employers across all industries, and cover the foundational learning for entrepreneurial mindset.

“Every student deserves an education that empowers them with an equitable opportunity to participate in the future economy. Skillsline helps educate students on the transferable, non-technical “soft” skills that all employers explicitly desire but schools rarely have the time to teach,” stated Chris Mackey, Founder of Skillsline.
