Professional Bio
Michelle CantĂș-Wilson is the Director of Teaching and Learning Initiatives and Special Projects at San Jacinto College. She also served as a faculty member for the developmental education department.
Prior to a career in higher education, Michelle was a public education campus administrator and teacher.
She is a passionate advocate for first generation students, a believer in the power of collaboration, and an unapologetic equity advocate. Michelle is one half of LatinXLearners which provides a social space for discussing first generation and Latinx issues in higher education.
Michelle is married and has three children. She's a lifelong reader and writer and is currently working on a novel about the South Texas experience.
