Start Your Own Business (SYOB)

Welcome to NACCE’s national Start Your Own Business (SYOB) hub — your launchpad for turning ideas into action.

The Perpetual Business Cycle: A Roadmap for Success. 1: Create the plan. 2: Problem Solve. 3: Implement. 4: Track outcomes. 5: Take action.

Phase 1:
Create the Plan (Starting Phase)
Establish your core vision, define specific goals, and develop the strategic roadmap that will guide the business.
Phase 2:
Problem Solve (Solution Phase)
Critically identify, evaluate, and analyze internal and external factors to make necessary adjustments to the overall strategy.
Phase 3:
Implement (Launch Phase)
Shift from strategy to execution by operationalizing the plan and officially beginning the business process.
Phase 4:
Track Outcomes (Continuous Phase)
Monitor business performance through consistent data gathering and the collection of stakeholder feedback.
Phase 5:
Take Action (Engagement Phase)
Utilize the data from tracked outcomes to address both present hurdles and potential future obstacles.
