- Do you have any questions re: curriculum and/or other items concerning the course/pilot since our time in Seattle?
- John – RHCC asked “What is the value add of this course - online vs. in-person?”
- Immersive/interactive learning experience with instructor and other learners
- Deeper dive into Amazon specific topics (more so than Seller U)
- John – RHCC is coming up with a “to-do” list for his students to complete prior to taking the course, as he is running his course in a weekend format.
- Ryan – NIC asked “Is it okay to live-cast our classes to reach a larger audience (esp. those in rural areas)?”
- Yes, please ensure it’s still interactive for those students (i.e. they can virtually raise hands, ask questions, etc.) and it’s live (not recorded).
- Recruitment Discussion – How is your school planning to or currently marketing this opportunity? Attached is another graphic you can utilize in your outreach, as well as the Amazon Small Business Academy Logo.
- Jack – BHCC: Reaching out to previous business certificate graduates, current business and eship students, and DBA/existing corporation listings with fliers; FB and twitter postings
- Janice – LCCC: Doing big marketing push through SBDC and NeoLaunchNet; spreading the word via other local NeoLaunchNets; Amazon’s one-day seminar at LCCC attendees
- John – RRCC: Speaking with presidents of chambers of commerce – giving them first right of refusal (exclusive offer to get their boards engaged)
- Ryan – NIC: Reaching out to multiple different partners (i.e. chambers, accelerators, partner colleges, etc.); newsletter promotion; Josh’s network
- Ned – HCC: Reaching out to multiple different partners (ex. SCORE), newsletter/email promotion via Constant Contact, business plan competition attendees/competitors, social media posts
- Karm – FCC: Social media paid advertisements; flyers
- Registration Discussion – What platform is your school using for registrations?
- All are using internal platform specific to non-credit courses.
- Jen to give update re: final curriculum and bonus material
- Updates to curriculum are complete; once Leah has them uploaded to our one-stop shop page (https://www.nacce.com/amazon-pilot), she will notify everyone via email.
- Reminders on importance of following the script closely
- FB Group for students – discussion and next steps
- Feedback was mixed; we’ll plan to wait and hear from the learners re: their thoughts to make sure this would be helpful to them.

- As a reminder, the overall goal is 300 students to participate in this pilot, making each school responsible for 50 registrants. As much as possible, we’d like students to go through all 3 modules.
- To make sure everything is on track, we’d like to have weekly reg reports submitted. Our goal is to ensure a successful pilot and assist each school with concerns/issues.
