Join us for our March Member Webinar - Utilizing Makerspaces to Grow Your Entrepreneurial Ecosystems

Date: Wednesday, March 27

Time: 12-1 PM EST

Join us for our March member webinar entitled, "Utilizing Makerspaces to Grow Your Entrepreneurial Ecosystems"! How have you leveraged your makerspace to grow your entrepreneurial ecosystem? In 2016, the California Community College Chancellor’s Office, Workforce and Economic Division, funded a $17 million grant to support "CCC Maker Initiative" for three years. The idea was to create a college maker culture that enables students to explore, create and connect in new creative ways and this in turn will more effectively prepare them for meaningful careers. To learn more, please visit www.cccmaker.com. We will hear from Deborah Bird, Technical Assistance Provider and Carol Pepper-Kittredge, Statewide Project Director for the CCC Maker Initiative, as well as faculty, staff and students involved in this initiative.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand why infusing a maker culture into your community college is vital
  • Learn five practical tips on how you can leverage your makerspace to grow your entrepreneurial ecosystem (no matter where you live!)
  • Listen to stories of makerspace successes and failures from students, faculty and staff
