Join us for a Webinar {Powered by GALE} - How to Empower Student Entrepreneurs!

Date: Thursday, March 21

Time: 12-1 PM EST

Did you know nearly half of Gen Zers plan to become entrepreneurs? 41% of Gen Zers plan to start their own business and 17% of university students plan to start a business before graduation.

Does your school offer the resources students need and demand to help them achieve their entrepreneurial dreams? It’s imperative for colleges to support student entrepreneurs, or they will find a resource elsewhere.

Students from all majors are looking for ways to become entrepreneurs, and unless they are enrolled in business classes, they lack the training and education to make this a reality.

Dr. Eric Fretz, a professor at the University of Michigan, will explain his approach to teaching non-business students to prepare them to be entrepreneurs that includes leadership, emotional intelligence, and group interaction skills. He will also discuss tools he has implemented to help students develop a business plan when they have no business planning skills or background.

Learning objectives:

  • Trends and the importance of providing students with tools and information regarding entrepreneurship
  • Personal attributes students should develop to become entrepreneurs
  • How technology/tools can help students develop a business plan and conduct market research even when they have no formal training
