Everyday Entrepreneur on The Rise Nationwide

As the Everyday Entrepreneur program moves into a busy season, campuses across the country are hosting weekly pitch events. With the semester coming to a close, colleges that have worked hard to implement these programs are now bringing them to life. The momentum is clear: campuses are seeing strong engagement, high-quality ideas, and meaningful success stories emerge from their students.

Recent events highlight just how active and diverse these programs have become.

Florida SouthWestern State College pitch

At Florida SouthWestern State College, a successful pitch competition was held this month with 22 students registered to compete across multiple categories. Students participated in a range of structured pitch formats, including Single Class, Viability-Feasibility, Viability-Feasibility-Desirability, Go-To-Market, and Business Genesis categories. The variety of formats allowed students at different stages of development to present and refine their ideas, from early-stage concepts to more fully developed ventures with market strategies. The event showcased strong participation and a wide range of student-led ideas across multiple disciplines.

Forsyth Technical Community College pitch

Similarly, Forsyth Technical Community College hosted its first Trailblazer Tank Pitch Competition on Friday, April 17. The event drew 18 applicants representing a broad spectrum of academic areas, including healthcare, information technology, human services, entrepreneurship, business administration, high school equivalency, arts, and IT programming and development. This diversity highlighted the program’s expanding reach across campus and its ability to engage students from both technical and non-technical fields.

The winners reflected the strength of innovation emerging from the program, with top projects demonstrating creativity, problem-solving, and real-world applicability. The event also underscored the value of providing structured pitch environments where students can test ideas, receive feedback, and build confidence in their entrepreneurial thinking.

Together, these events illustrate the growing momentum of the Everyday Entrepreneur program. As more campuses host pitch competitions and student showcases, the initiative continues to expand its impact, helping students develop practical business skills, explore new ideas, and gain experience in presenting and refining ventures in a supportive, competitive environment.
