Apply to be the Lead College for the Intuit Education + NACCE Pilot!

Posted By: Leah Loch (deleted) NACCE Blog,

Further 41% of small business owners consider themselves to be financially illiterate. Despite these challenges many still rely on outdated methods to manage their finances and don't utilize an accountant until it may be too late.

How can we help change those statistics?
Many of you heard at NACCE 2018 that NACCE is partnering with Intuit Education on a new pilot program entitled, "Financial Management for Entrepreneurs Curriculum Initiative".

The overall goal of the pilot is to empower future entrepreneurs with the right financial management tools and skills that they need to be successful.

We are currently looking for one lead college to develop a financial management for entrepreneurs course "shell"/modular curriculum that simulates the real-world experiences of a new business owner/entrepreneur. Click here for more details...

In addition to completing the above form, you must submit a one-page overview to deppert@nacce.com that confirms that your college is a NACCE member and the identification of a faculty point of contact who will participate in the pilot. Please explain your qualifications and why you desire to be a part of this pilot.

You MUST have the signature of a dean, vice president or president of the community college that has the authority to commit to the project and to designate a faculty member to participate in the pilot.

If you missed the webinar on this pilot, please listen here. The slides from the webinar can be found here.

Questions? Please contact Leah Deppert, Manager of Marketing & Communications, at deppert@nacce.com or via phone at 440-897-0477.

Applications will be accepted from December 5-December 19. The lead college will be notified in early January 2019. A separate RFA will be issued in March 2019 for the pilot colleges.
Thank you for applying!
